Gautam obtained his bachelor’s degree in law from Symbiosis Law School, Pune and thereafter pursued Master of Laws from the prestigious London School of Economics and Political Science
(LSE). He specialized in Banking Laws and Financial Regulation. Gautam started his career as an Analyst at a consultancy firm in London focusing on European Union’s anti-money laundering regulations and its compliance. Subsequently, he worked at a
reputed Indian law firm’s London office gaining experience in corporate law and finance, with primary
focus on cross-border mergers & acquisitions, external commercial borrowing (ECB) and India
bound investment. Upon his return, Gautam pursued his keen interest in advocacy and has since established a
formidable practice. He has conducted trials in some of the most high-profile cases of last decade.
He regularly appears before the Supreme Court of India, various High Courts, Courts of Sessions,
Family Courts as well as the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT), the Securities and Exchange
Board of India (SEBI), the Securities Appellate Tribunal (SAT) and Debts Recovery Tribunals (DRT).
He has also conducted arbitration proceedings under rules framed by the International Chambers of
Commerce (ICC), London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA), Indian Council of Arbitration (ICA)
and United Nations Commission of International Trade Law (UNCITRAL). Gautam has continued to advise clients on aspects of corporate laws, focusing primarily on mergers and acquisitions and investments. His guidance is also sought on employment &; labour laws,
intellectual property and a full range of real estate related issues. Gautam has also advised and
participated in trials under family laws. In his free time, Gautam gives guest lectures and regularly participates in panel discussions. He also writes upon contemporary and contentious issues of public importance. Being an adventure junkie – sky diving, riding through the mountains and snorkeling are his favourite pass-time.
Prateik deals with a wide range of civil and commercial litigation, and has particular expertise in constitutional matters. He regularly represents clients in the Supreme Court of India, various High Courts, District Courts, the Debts Recovery Tribunals, NCLT and NCLAT, Consumer Forums and Industrial Courts.
Tasneem is experienced in litigation, both civil and criminal. Tasneem has proven results with clients including Ajmera, Shah Bros. and Anchor and has attained a wide-angle view of litigation practice in both High Courts and lower courts. Tasneem has achieved results for clients in cases pertaining to Prevention of Corruption Act, POCSO, Negotiable Instruments Act and several other enactments.
Ishan is an experienced commercial and transactional lawyer, working primarily in the tech, media and telecom (TMT) space. He demonstrates a high degree of dexterity in handling complex Intellectual Property matters, resolving several contentious matters for some of the most high-profile entities in the business. Ishan has proven results with clients including Star India, Reliance Industries and T-Series and has attained a wide-angle view of transactional practice in the space.
